Indirect talks working toward a comprehensive deal on a Trump administration initiative to end the war in Gaza have begun in the Red Sea resort of Sharm El-Sheikh.

Local and international officials have stated that the sessions are centered around "creating the field conditions" for a potential swap that would involve the release of all captured Israelis in exchange for a group of detained Palestinians.

Officials declared it consents to the ceasefire initiative to some extent, but has failed to address several crucial requirements - such as its military demobilization and future role in Gaza.
